Cloud Software Developer (Maternity Cover)

Your work would be focused on: Porthos is dormakaba’s Platform for Connected digital Services. The Porthos platform provides digital services across product clusters and supports the lifecycle of our offerings. To support the dormakaba IoT team and develop specific cloud services, we are looking for a Cloud Software Developer.

This position would majorly be performed on a hybrid basis with required visits in our new offices at the Capital Fort in Sofia when the team gathers. It is preferred the candidate to be based in Sofia or in the region.

A job that matters: your tasks

• Design, develop, code, test, debug and/or customize for dormakaba cloud platform services – porthos using Node.js language, ran on serverless technologies hosted on AWS
• Apply best practices and advanced methodologies, including Scrum techniques, to address and review system requirements, business processes, changing development and technology environments
• Implementation of the specified solution in a way that conforms to the system architecture (e.g: source code)
• Review of the development results with regard to compliance with the specification, correctness, freedom from errors and compliance with legal regulations and standards
• Specification of services and APIs
• Create technical documents and prepares content for service documentation
• Can act as a resource for colleagues with less experience
• Organize field of work independently

An experience that matters: your skills

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or similar
• Usually 4+ years of relevant experience
• Strong knowledge in Node.js development
• Solid experience with software engineering practices to produce clean code
• Experience with Terraform
• Knowledge in AWS serverless technologies would be considered an advantage
• Experience with IoT would be considered an advantage
• DevOps experience would be considered as advantage
• Problem solving skills
• Team player mentality
• Fluency in English
