Position Overview
Our client is a US-based asset management firm that develops a next-generation wealth management platform.
We’re looking for a talented Backend Developer with a strong GraphQL experience to join our engineering team. You’ll work on robust back-end systems using modern TypeScript and JavaScript frameworks. You’ll be a key part of the development process from architecture to deployment.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain Node.js applications using TypeScript
Build and optimize GraphQL APIs for performance, scalability, and security
Collaborate with frontend developers to deliver seamless API integrations
Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
Troubleshoot and debug applications, ensuring high availability and reliability
Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices
Stay updated on new trends and tools in TypeScript, Node.js, and GraphQL ecosystems
Requirements
Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js
Hands-on experience building and maintaining GraphQL APIs (Apollo)
Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
Experience with databases (SQL and/or NoSQL such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
Knowledge of version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines
Ability to work collaboratively in an Agile/Scrum team environment
Nice To Have
Experience with Apollo Server/Client ecosystem
Understanding of authentication/authorization (JWT, OAuth, OpenID Connect)
Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes for containerized deployments
Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
