Position Overview
Our client is one of the leading Reinsurance service providers across the globe.
We are looking for a highly skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our ETL/DWH squad. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with SQL and Python-based test automation, combined with solid knowledge of data warehousing and cloud technologies.
Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain test automation for ETL pipelines and data warehouse systems
Write and execute complex SQL queries to validate large datasets
Develop test scripts using Python (preferably with Pytest)
Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions) for automated execution
Customize and parameterize test frameworks to support varied scenarios
Ensure test coverage across different layers, aligned with the test pyramid principles
Collaborate closely with developers, data engineers, and DevOps teams
Requirements
Strong hands-on SQL experience (essential)
Python automation using Pytest
Familiarity with AWS services (e.g., Glue, Redshift, Spark, serverless solutions)
Experience with CI/CD tools and workflows (e.g., Git, GitHub Actions)
Deep understanding of test levels and test pyramid strategies
Ability to configure and adapt test frameworks
Nice To Have
Experience with ETL development (Redshift, Big Data)
Working with Parquet/Iceberg datasets on S3
Dremio experience
API testing with tools like Postman
Integration of test automation with Allure reporting
