    Position Overview

    Our client envisions creating a reliable, scalable, and user-friendly ticketing and streaming platform for high school sports in the US.

    The goal of the project is to ensure a seamless experience for parents, students, and fans in purchasing tickets and streaming live events. The platform will be easily accessible from any device, anywhere, at any time.

    We are looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer with expertise in Video, Python, SQL, and ETL testing to ensure the reliability and quality of our systems through innovative automation solutions. In this role, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our microservices through meticulous testing, automation, and data validation processes.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement automated testing solutions using Playwright, Python, Postman, and AWS to ensure system reliability
    • Perform comprehensive data validation to maintain high-quality data standards
    • Utilize strong SQL skills to validate database queries and ensure they align with business logic
    • Test microservices using unit and integration testing frameworks, including Postman, pytest, and (optionally) Kafka
    • Build and improve testing tools to streamline processes and increase testing efficiency
    • Conduct in-depth analysis of identified defects, assigning appropriate priority and severity levels

     

    Requirements

    • 3+ years of experience in web application test automation (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium)
    • 3+ years of experience writing automated tests (JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, JS/TS preferred)
    • 1+ years of experience working with AWS, testing both monolithic and distributed systems
    • Experience in video streaming testing
    • Experience with API testing principles, including endpoint testing, request and response validation, handling authentication mechanisms (like OAuth, JWT), and working with different HTTP methods (GET, POST, PUT, DELETE). Experience writing clean, performant code in GraphQL/REST APIs, always taking into consideration performance and best practices
    • Experience writing optimized code for GraphQL/REST APIs
    • Understanding of UI testing best practices
