Position Overview
Our client is one of the biggest online retailers worldwide with a yearly revenue of £2+ billion, the its headquarters are based in the UK. Built to change the nature of grocery e-commerce globally, our custom-designed solutions are uniquely capable of meeting the complex and developing expectations of shoppers while driving better productivity, greater flexibility, and higher margins for grocery retailers online.
As an iOS Developer, you will participate in the development of our customer-facing, native iOS Shopping app, to be used by millions of people all over the world. Each team is cross-functional, comprising Android, iOS, and backend-focused engineers, working together to deliver features to a high standard.
You will work with specialists who understand their specific place, value, task, and individual performance, but see the “horizon” of the task as well.
Mobile teams work closely with Web teams, Product Managers, and UX to ensure feature parity and a consistently high-quality experience across all platforms. Teams leverage industry best practices like continuous delivery and extensive automated testing, and are given the autonomy to try out new technologies and techniques that support our business and long-term goals.
Responsibilities
Development of the Mobile iOS applications
Writing and maintaining automation test suites
Work collaboratively inside and outside the team to achieve business objectives
Requirements
Strong programming and object-oriented design skills gained by working with Swift through iOS development
Extensive knowledge of the iOS environment and developing high-quality apps
Experience with Swift UI, Combine
Knowledge of iOS patterns and architectures as MVVM and Coordinators
Experience working with RESTful services/design best practices
A good understanding of CI/CD best practices
A fundamental understanding of automated testing
Experience with Contentful CMS
Comfortable writing production-quality code from scratch, and rapid prototyping
Nice To Have
A strong commitment to maintaining clean code
Working knowledge of RxSwift, Combine, and CocoaPods will be an advantage
An understanding and some experience of Agile software development
Experience working in a continuous delivery environment
A mastery of Git
Exposure to Reactive programming paradigms
Knowledge of Android or backend Java development will be an asset
