Position Overview
Our client is one of the largest online retailers worldwide, with an annual revenue of over £2 billion and headquarters in the UK.
As an iOS Developer, you will participate in the development of our customer-facing, native iOS Shopping app, which will be used by millions of people worldwide. Each team is cross-functional, comprising Android, iOS, and backend engineers working together to deliver features to a high standard. You will collaborate with specialists who understand their specific roles, value, tasks, and individual performance, while also considering the broader goals of the project.
Mobile teams work closely with Web teams, Product Managers, and UX teams to ensure feature parity and a consistently high-quality experience across all platforms. Teams leverage industry best practices such as continuous delivery and extensive automated testing, while being given the autonomy to experiment with new technologies and techniques that support our business and long-term goals.
Responsibilities
Develop mobile iOS applications
Write and maintain automation test suites
Collaborate inside and outside the team to achieve business objectives
Requirements
Strong programming and object-oriented design skills gained through iOS development with Swift
Extensive knowledge of the iOS environment and experience developing high-quality apps
Experience with SwiftUI and Combine
Familiarity with iOS patterns and architectures such as MVVM and Coordinators
Experience working with RESTful services and design best practices
A good understanding of CI/CD best practices
A fundamental understanding of automated testing
Experience with Contentful CMS
Comfortable writing production-quality code from scratch and rapid prototyping
Nice To Have
A strong commitment to maintaining clean code
Working knowledge of RxSwift, Combine, and CocoaPods
An understanding of and some experience with Agile software development
Experience working in a continuous delivery environment
Proficiency in Git
Exposure to reactive programming paradigms
Knowledge of Android or backend Java development
