    Position Overview

    Our client is a UK-based technology company specializing in global travel search services. Their platform integrates marketplace navigation tools with direct service features, allowing users to explore, compare, and book international and domestic travel options seamlessly. By aggregating data from numerous airlines, travel agents, and accommodation providers, the platform offers real-time pricing and availability.

    The ML Architect will lead the design and implementation of advanced AI-driven solutions for the client’s global travel search platform. This senior technical role involves translating business needs into scalable architecture, conducting proof-of-concepts for new cloud services, and guiding the development team to deliver innovative, cloud-native AI technologies. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in solution architecture, cloud platforms, and AI services, with strong communication skills to bridge technical and business stakeholders.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Elicit business needs and requirements for system architecture
    • Propose appropriate solutions in ambiguous/early-stage situations, estimate the scope and budget for the proposed system
    • Transform business requirements into technical requirements
    • Plan, design, and implement IT solutions
    • Document technical and functional requirements
    • Communicate requirements and specifications to a project team
    • Serve as a top-level escalation point for technical and process concerns, which may arrive from either the implementation team or client (or both)
    • Conduct POCs to test new cloud services and tools before incorporation into the Solution Architecture

     

    Requirements

    • 5+ years of experience as a Solution Architect or Technical Architect
    • Extensive software development experience (Python, Java, Kotlin)
    • Experience with clouds (Azure, AWS)
    • Experience with Azure OpenAI Services, AWS BedRock
    • Ability to define high-level solutions and system architectures and understand how various components of the architecture interact
    • Ability to communicate with business stakeholders, understand the business’s pain points, requirements, and translate these into winning solutions
    • Ability to analyze other developers’ code using basic reverse engineering techniques
    • Experience in documenting functional and technical requirements, able to create and deliver compelling presentations to key client stakeholders
    • Ability to communicate technical requirements and transfer knowledge to a project team, communicate effectively with project managers and team leaders, with the ability to guide and coach team members in developing technical solutions
    • Strong organizational skills (multi-tasking) and a self-motivator
    • Strong written and verbal English communication skills

     

    Nice To Have

    • Experience in the travel industry
    • Experience with Prompt Engineering
    • Enterprise architecture
    • Experience in team leadership and/or project management is an advantage
    • Experience with Cloud Migration and Cloud Native Design
