Position Overview
Our client is a wealth management firm specializing in personalized financial advisory services for high-net-worth individuals and families.
Our client is transitioning from an old-school SQL Server ecosystem (stored procedures, SSRS, low-code frontend) to a modern Python full stack environment with Snowflake. They’re seeking engineers to support this migration and develop new applications.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Python Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Python development and experience working with modern UI frameworks, backend frameworks, and workflow tools. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable applications with a focus on high performance and usability.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain Python-based applications and services
Develop and integrate user interfaces using React or Angular to create functional and responsive frontends
Build robust and scalable backend services using Flask
Manage and optimize workflows and scheduling using Apache Airflow
Work within Linux-based environments for deployment and development
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and other developers
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
Participate in code reviews and mentoring junior developers
Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance
Requirements
Strong proficiency in Python development with several years of production experience
Hands-on experience with UI functional frameworks: React or Angular
Expertise in Flask for building backend APIs and services
Experience working in Linux environments, including shell scripting and system tools
Practical experience with Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration
Understanding of RESTful API design and best practices
Familiarity with version control (e.g., Git)
Ability to write clear technical documentation
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Nice To Have
Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
Knowledge of continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
Familiarity with databases (SQL and/or NoSQL)
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
