Position Overview
Our client, ranked among the top 20 global investment firms and headquartered in the UK, is undergoing a significant transformation. As part of this change, they are consolidating numerous internal and external data sources into a single solution provided by an external vendor, who delivers all the required data in a centralized format.
The successful candidate will be involved into work within cross functional teams to support developers in designing and building of new Data Products and Solutions and business stakeholders in understanding their needs.
As a Business Data Analyst, you will be responsible for managing data queries from the business, capturing and communication salient details and working with the data workstream, business stakeholders, and engineering to resolve issues or implement improvements. It’s a great opportunity to gather valuable experience within a financial enterprise and become a rare and sought-after specialist.
Responsibilities
Communication with internal business stakeholders to clarify requirements
Performing a gap analysis for the implementation of automatic checks
Developing and describing ETL processes for data analysis
Analyzing database schemas and scripts
Сoordinating APIs between systems, think over the automation process
Providing software developers with fully clarified epics and stories
Requirements
Asset Management domain experience
Experience in the regulatory space (with Mifid/EMIR/trade lifecycle projects)
3+ years of experience working in projects with large volumes of data and different data formats
Experience with data schema design and data modelling, data mappings
Experience with API investigation
Experience with SQL
Experience with data modelling
Experience in data warehousing/dimension modelling, reporting and business intelligence
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Spoken English
Ability to set tasks for developers
Nice To Have
Experience working with Tableau
Experience working with Python
Ability to parse XMLs, XSD formats
CFA certification
