Reporting into our Global Director of Engineering this role will focus on supporting our Global Digital Consumer Value Stream, delivering business-critical initiatives that will enable Costa to drive digital acquisition and engagement of consumers across the globe. This will be achieved by continuously delivering high value, test and learn driven features for our markets and continuing to transform our best-in-class digital technology stack and front-end consumer experiences. This covers global websites, native apps, point of sale, Costa X machines, digital screens and key digital capabilities including consumer identity, CRM, loyalty, personalisation, eCommerce/remote ordering and payments.

What you’ll do

Being a Solution Architect is your chance to join our exciting hub in Sofia – which means you’ll be:

• Define the architecture for system enhancements and new application developments.
• Own the designs and documentation of the applications and integrations, explaining the underlying architecture and technology to developers, suppliers and internal teams.
• Ensure system designs are aligned towards core business priorities and agreed application development principles.
• Work with the other architects, technical managers and developers through an effective governance process, defining best practices and improving ways of working.
• Communicates technical ideas clearly and takes ownership and accountability of refining and improving designs through new projects and small change requests.

Who you are

It’s your unique ingredients we’re interested in:

• Knowledge and experience of the latest consumer facing digital and marketing technologies.
• Knowledge and experience of cloud computing platforms such as Microsoft Azure & AWS.
• Understanding of Architectural principles and frameworks.
• Able to create logical and physical data designs, documenting architecture as part of HLD & LLDs.
• Ability to explain complex details in simple terms for non-technical stakeholders to understand in a fast-paced product focussed, agile environment.

Location – Sofia – Hybrid

The role will be hybrid model with the expectation of being in the Sofia office 2-3 days per week as required.
