    As part of this strategy, Commerzbank continues the expansion of its Digital Technology Center in Sofia, Bulgaria. We need motivated people who will join us on this journey and we are looking for an (Mid/Senior) Mainframe Software Development and Migration in our New Mainframe team.

    New Mainframe team is the central service provider for all the clusters of the delivery organization to which we provide the basic infrastructure for application development for the mainframe, the standard procedures/routines for the processes in end-of-day processing (batch) as well as the development, test and production infrastructures.

    As a member of our broad-based chapter, you contribute your expertise, your joy in future-oriented IT topics and your personality to the further development and support of our pipelines and products. We are working with the pipelines on exciting topics that make life easier for our internal users.

    The API pipeline development team builds the pipelines to the mainframe (z/OS) and provides the necessary processes and tools.

    In the Code DevOps Pipeline cell, we work in a great team to further develop the CICD pipelines for mainframe applications and work with stakeholders in the bank to continuously improve CICD processes for users.

    Your tasks:

    • Maintenance and further development (incl. design and documentation) of the CICD pipelines for z/OS Java and Cobol applications including in-house developed applications such as z/AP;
    • Support for the users of the pipes partly in close cooperation with the CICD cluster;
    • Maintenance and customizing of products that are integrated into the pipes, for example, third-party products such as DevOps for z/OS with Python, ZOAU, Java, UCD, debugging tool / fault analyzer;
    • Participate in the further development of the target image for the pipelines;
    • Fulfillment of tasks mainly in your cell with support from other cells and external service providers;
    • Comply with banking standards (Commerzbank Delivery Guide, Cluster Charter).

    Your profile:

    • Strong development of Java applications primarily for pipeline operation and further development;
    • High knowledge in designing, documentation (concepts, manuals, data models, etc) experience with zOS, Unix System Services and zFS;
    • High knowledge in transformation and migration -nalysis of data sources, description of the transformation process, planning of the migration, accompany the onboarding process, implementation, etc.;
    • z/OS knowledge would be considered as advantage;
    • Knowledge or desire to work with COBOL, DB2, ISPF, REXX, Python, DB2 Stored Procedure, JCL, IMS would be considered as an advantage;
    • Very good communication and collaboration skills;
    • Fluency in English – both written and spoken;
    • University degree in IT or relevant.
