As part of this strategy, Commerzbank continues the expansion of its Digital Technology Center in Sofia, Bulgaria. We need motivated people who will join us on this journey and we are looking for a Senior Mainframe Host (System) Operations Engineer in our Operations & Monitoring team.
Your tasks
Being responsible for operations (1st-level support) of the bank’s central mainframe environment. These include :
Using of our standard tool for incident-, change-, and problem management;
Identification and analysis of occurring outages and their escalation;
Backup and recovery management;
User support for business and technical issues;
Manual intervention in automated processes;
Identification of service improvements as well as implementation of these topics.
Your profile
Good knowledge with z/OS operating system and mainframe infrastructure (hardware and software);
Experience with MainView, z/OS, IMS, DB2, Netview, System Automation;
Experience with WebSphere Application Server for z/OS;
Understanding of Mainframe high availability concepts (Parallel Sysplex) as well as disaster recovery features, functions and procedures;
Experience with ServiceNow- ability to manage incidents and changes;
Willingness to work in agile environment;
Exceptional problem-solving skills, effective communication and interpersonal skills;
Fluency in English – both written and verbal;
University degree in IT or relevant.
