As part of this strategy, Commerzbank continues the expansion of its Digital Technology Center in Sofia, Bulgaria. We need motivated people who will join us on this journey and we are looking for a Java Software Engineer in our Dialog Systems team.

As a Java Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing applications and data flows, as well as their business purposes, to design and develop enterprise products related to conversational AI automation, for the comdirect brand. To achieve this, you will develop software within the IT systems of both brands.

Your tasks:

• Being involved in contribution to functional solutions.
• Analysing and designing technical and functional solutions (for implementing new functions, modules, or interfaces) requires combining process skills with understanding the technology used.
• Developing and communicating solutions and concepts within the involved teams (located in Sofia, Quickborn, and Rostock).
• Defining functional test scenarios and ensuring quality assurance measures.
• Analysing and designing solutions to the problems, collaborating closely with other involved teams, in case of incidents or issues.
• Acting as one of the development experts within your scrum team.

Your profile:

• Strong proficiency in Java programming language.
• Experience with Spring Boot.
• Knowledge of RESTful web services and API development.
• Development according to Clean Code, Design Patterns, and topics related to secure software development (e.g., OWASP).
• Requirements Engineering, User Stories and definition/verification of acceptance criteria.
• Software Stack: Java, JEE-Frameworks, Spring, Hibernate, Maven, Git, SQL (Oracle PL/SQL).
• Understanding of databases and dataflows required for the applications.
