As part of this strategy, Commerzbank continues the expansion of its Digital Technology Center in Sofia, Bulgaria. We need motivated people who will join us on this journey and we are looking for a Cloud Engineer in our AI Solutions & Data Insights team.

The Big Data & Advanced Analytics cluster is at the forefront of transforming data into actionable insights and driving innovation. By intelligently linking large datasets, optimizing internal processes, and developing cutting-edge data-driven products, the team empowers data scientists, analysts, and developers. The cluster offers a comprehensive suite of data resources, including data warehouses, data platforms, visualization tools, and an all-encompassing data science platform, all integrated into a single, cohesive environment.

As a Cloud Engineer, you will lead the development and enhancement of our products and services on Azure and Google Cloud. Working within cross-functional teams, you will leverage cutting-edge technologies such as serverless architectures, NoSQL databases, and AI. Your primary responsibilities include designing and implementing data pipelines, serverless architectures, message queues, and APIs. You will collaborate closely with Data Scientists to deploy AI models and regularly engage with colleagues from other teams to identify optimal solutions and drive innovation.

Your tasks:

• Designing and deploying scalable and efficient cloud applications;
• Writing and runing unit and integration tests;
• Troubleshooting and debugging issues across the application stack;
• Continuously improving software development processes and practices using latest industry trends;
• Working using Agile development methodologies to ensure rapid and iterative delivery of high-quality software;
• Maintaining a high standard of code quality through code reviews and automated testing;
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features;
• Writing and optimizing application code as well as Infrastructure as Code (IAC) scripts.

Your profile:

• High knowledge in architecting and building scalable, high-performance cloud applications.
• Experience with cloud services (GCP) and infrastructure (Terraform), advanced Docker knowledge;
• Experience with Docker for efficient application deployment, including multi-stage builds and Docker Compose;
• Ability to utilize Google Cloud Platform and Azure for application hosting and management;
• Good understanding of developing and maintaining RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
• Knowledge of core Python concepts;
• Ability t develop web applications using Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Experience in writing and running tests using PyTest and behave frameworks.
• Experience in managing and interacting with databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
• Good analytic thinking with attention to details to solve problems.
• Team player with high ability to work in cross-locational and international teams.
• Fluency in English – both written and spoken;
• University degree in IT or releant.
