    As part of this strategy, Commerzbank continues the expansion of its Digital Technology Center in Sofia, Bulgaria. We need motivated people who will join us on this journey, and we are looking for a Chapter Lead Operations in our Middleware& Environment division.

    As a Chapter Lead, you are responsible for recruiting, hiring and binding employees, developing skills, and supporting the cross-border collaboration of our Sofia teams. In addition to your leadership role, you are also experienced in at least one of the topics engineering or application operations) and support to implement the vision of the cluster in a practical and customer-oriented manner. Collaborate with your team to develop chapter strategies and standards and promote the future of your employees in an agile work environment and proactively being responsible for the permanent exchange between the cells and the chapters, ensure smooth cooperation at the interfaces and pass on your know-how in a targeted manner.

    Your tasks:

    • Leading and developing employees of an engineer operations team (Sofia);
    • Being responsible for the initial recruiting and continuous expansion of the team;
    • Reporting to the cluster lead, who is in Germany (Frankfurt);
    • Acting as active role model function for the agile methodology and a strong focus on customers and services;
    • Ensuring that team members in own area of responsibility always meet compliance requirements and actively promote awareness of compliance-related issues among the staff;
    • Acting as a bridge head / coordinator between your local team and the other teams, most of them located in Germany;
    • Being a part of the management team (Sofia/Frankfurt) and actively participate in the further development of the cluster;
    • You will drive the built up of know-how transfer/exchange in the cluster;
    • Other tasks related to the position.

    Your profile:

    • Previous experience in building, leading and developing a team of business expert’s developer or application operations engineer´s; .
    • Professional experience in operation, support and maintenance of infrastructure;
    • Strong interest in collaboration within distributed teams as well as in actively supporting the build-up of new teams;
    • Experience with Agile Software Development;
    • Excellent collaboration skills and focus on delivering solutions;
    • Customer orientation and ownership attitude for the assigned responsibilities to deliver results in time and in line with the clients’ need;
    • Strong mentoring and leadership, communication, and coaching skills;
    • Open to travel to Germany if required (2-3 times per year up to 5 days).
