As part of this strategy, Commerzbank continues the expansion of its Digital Technology Center in Sofia, Bulgaria. We need motivated people who will join us on this journey and we are looking for an Application Operations Engineer in our CI/CD CHAMP team.
The CI/CD CHAMP cluster is responsible for the development and provision of services in the area of Continuous Delivery, and Continuous Integration. We provide automated deployment environments, customized delivery pipelines, test automation tools and expertise, as well as onboarding services. Our customers and partners are other software development teams within Commerzbank.
Your tasks:
Maintaining and operating Linux servers, Repository Managers (e.g., Nexus), and Java applications based on OpenShift;
Ensuring platform stability and availability;
Ensuring compliance with the rules and regulations of the bank;
Consulting and enabling our customers in using our technology stack;
Supporting requests and managing Jira tickets;
Collaborating with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and Architects to drive our digital transformation;
Ensuring that the application documentation is complete and up to date;
Communicating and collaborating with users and developers of the platform;
Working in a Scrum team setup.
Your profile:
Proficiency with repository managers like Nexus;
Strong knowledge of CI/CD processes and GitOps approach;
Solid understanding of Docker images and container platforms (OpenShift/Kubernetes);
Experience with Unix/Linux administration and automation;
Familiarity with message brokers (Kafka, ActiveMQ) and databases (PostgreSQL);
Basic knowledge of Python, Bash, Java, TeamCity, Git, Maven, and SQL;
Fluency in English – both written and spoken;
University degree in IT or relevant.
