As part of this strategy, Commerzbank continues the expansion of its Digital Technology Center in Sofia, Bulgaria. We need motivated people who will join us on this journey, and we are looking for an Application Operations Engineer in our Business Connectivity team.

The Business Connectivity Cluster accelerates the transformation of Commerzbank into a digital technology company by developing and promoting internal and external APIs that are an integral part of our digital infrastructure. Positioning of Commerzbank in the German market as the first port of call for simple and innovative API-based customer solutions. In addition to that our cluster has spread across multiple technologies including Kafka, MQ, MFT,TokenManager.

Your tasks:

• Building and maintaining the operational readiness of the application infrastructure (IBM Sterling File Gateway and IBM Connect:Direct) in a mission critical computing environment.
• Monitoring performance of application and take action on changes;
• Providing level 1 and 2 support for projects and implemented applications;
• Administrating our software and servers in the Unix and Windows environments and databases with SQL;
• Assisting with capacity planning to ensure application is scaled to meet current and projected capacities;
• Maintaining version, patch and security levels, in accordance with the strategic direction of the company;
• Providing technical support to clients, assisting them with file transfer-related inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing their file transfer workflows;
• Being part of the on-call team, that is responsible for the 24/7 operations of the products;
• Writing scripts for maintaining and monitoring the file transfer platform;
• Working in an Agile team setup.

Your profile:

• Experience with managed file transfer products like IBM Streling File Gateway or IBM Connect:Direct;
• Solid experience with Unix Server Administration;
• Experience with Windows Server Administration;
• Experience with MS SQL Server on Windows;
• Familiar with UNIX fundamentals, standard command knowledge and programming languages;
• Experience with monitoring tools – Dynatrace and Elastic;
• Good team player with high ability to work in cross-locational and international teams;
• University degree in IT or relevant.
