About the Client

Our client is a Canadian multinational software company specializing in intelligent transportation systems and transit scheduling software. They are part of the Modaxo group and provide proven, world-class technologies trusted by over 80 public transit agencies in North America. Their systems streamline vehicle and operator scheduling, planning, and routing, and help reduce operational costs through modern, scalable technology.

Project Description

The main goal of the project is to develop a modern, cloud-based Scheduling and Routing product, replacing the current legacy system. With only 1 of 10 milestones completed, the project is still in early stages. The complexity of the domain offers excellent opportunities for growth and technical challenges. The project uses a hybrid Agile/Scrum methodology and involves coordination with multiple teams and vendors.

What You’ll Do:

• Develop, maintain, and optimize backend systems using the .NET framework (C#, ASP.NET Core API)
• Design and implement APIs for seamless integration
• Work with SQL Server to manage data, write stored procedures, and manage DB objects
• Write unit tests and participate in code reviews
• Support and improve existing codebases, assist QAs in testing
• Troubleshoot and fix defects
• Communicate directly with clients to clarify requirements and ensure alignment

Job Requirements:

• 3+ years of software development experience
• Strong experience with ASP.NET Core and SQL Server
• Experience working with microservices architecture
• Familiarity with Azure Cloud Services
• Understanding of Agile methodologies
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Attention to detail and high quality standards
• Collaborative mindset and excellent communication skills
• English proficiency: B2+ (daily communication with client and team required)

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Angular and TypeScript
• Familiarity with Redux
• Experience refactoring legacy code from other vendors
