Project Description

The project is dedicated for the to upgrade the existing product to make it more scalable, improve performance, prepare it for the future integrations and growing data model.

What You’ll Do:

• Propose effective and scalable solutions, considering factors such as performance, security, and maintainability;
• Collaborate with client Lead and team members to evaluate different approaches;
• Actively participate in architecture and design discussions;
• Define and document technical architectures that meet business requirements;
• Ensure that the chosen architecture aligns with industry best practices and standards;
• Work closely with product owners and other teams to clarify technical requirements and use cases;
• Ensure a clear understanding of feature specifications and expectations;
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bridge communication gaps;
• Provide technical insights to ensure that use cases are technically feasible and aligned with project goals;
• Foster effective communication within the team and across departments;
• Collaborate with other leads, architects, and managers to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach;
• Keep stakeholders informed about technical progress, challenges, and solutions;
• Identify areas for process improvement and technical innovation;
• Promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team;
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies;
• Share knowledge and best practices to enhance the overall skill set of the team;

Job Requirements:

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with Java. A recent focus on Java 17 is preferred;
• Familiarity with SQL / NoSQL storage (PostgreSQL, Redis, MongoDB), ability to reason about their strengths and weaknesses;
• Familiarity with the QA processes in software development;
• Stakeholder management skills (product);
• Past engineering experience running high-load and high-uptime services in production;
• Past engineering experience with data-intensive systems and data-driven products;

Preferred Qualifications:

• Software security, secure coding practices, PII management;
• Airline domain experience;
• Experience with Cloud platforms like GCP (preferred) or AWS;
• Experience with Observability using Datadog (preferred), NewRelic, or Prometheus;
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Linux systems;
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code, such as Terraform (preferred);
• Familiarity with modern CI/CD;
