Front End Developer (Fitness Sphere)

Our client is a publicly traded franchisor and operator of over 2,000 fitness centers, primarily in North America, serving more than 14 million members. Approximately 3 million members actively use the company’s mobile application. With a growing digital presence, the company has initiated the development of a web-based member portal to enhance user experience and provide self-service access to account and billing information.

Project Description

The project involves the development of a new web application portal designed for fitness members to manage their profiles, view billing history and activities, and engage with promotional content. The product is currently in MVP stage with a minimal feature set. The team will be responsible for full-cycle feature development and light support of existing functionality, working in a Scrum-based agile environment with close collaboration with the client.

What You’ll Do:

• Design, develop, and implement new features for the web-based member portal;
• Support and maintain existing codebase, improving stability and user experience;
• Write unit tests and participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and maintainability;
• Assist QA team with manual and automated testing efforts to accelerate delivery;
• Troubleshoot and fix defects, ensuring high-performance and bug-free features;
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and team members to align on business goals and user needs;
• Actively contribute to building and sharing domain knowledge, best practices, tools usage, and development processes;
• Communicate directly with client stakeholders through email, phone, and Slack;
• Help onboard and support fellow team members;

Job Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in frontend development;
• Strong experience with TypeScript, JavaScript and ReactJS;
• Good working knowledge of NextJS and server-side rendering;
• Experience with unit testing, preferably using Jest;
• Exposure to Remix and TailwindCSS is a plus (or willingness to learn);
• Solid understanding of agile methodologies and working in Scrum teams;
• Strong attention to detail, code quality, and performance optimization;
• Curious mindset with the ability to quickly understand new domains and requirements;
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills;
• Very good English skills (oral and written)
