Position Overview:

We’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer passionate about creating robust, scalable systems. As part of Codery’s dynamic team, you will work with cutting-edge technologies like Python, PostgreSQL, gRPC, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to drive digital transformation in the air cargo industry. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, tackle technical challenges, and deliver impactful solutions that redefine the future of logistics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and Development: Develop and optimize backend systems using Python, PostgreSQL, and gRPC.
• Architectural Decisions: Contribute to feature designs and high-level architectural decisions.
• Code Quality: Ensure robust, maintainable code through automated testing and code reviews.
• Cloud-Based Deployment: Work in a Kubernetes-based environment deployed on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Collaboration: Collaborate closely with stakeholders and integrate user feedback into technical solutions.
• DevOps Practices: Continuously improve deployment pipelines, monitoring, and observability tools.
• Team Culture: Champion open communication, knowledge sharing, and proactive problem-solving.

Mandatory Skills:

• Strong expertise in Python (5+ years of experience in backend development).
• Proficiency in SQL, with hands-on experience in PostgreSQL or similar databases.
• Familiarity with gRPC and service-oriented architectures.
• Solid understanding of cloud platforms, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong grasp of web application architecture and backend-to-frontend integrations.
• Excellent communication and a collaborative, proactive mindset.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of Redis, Celery, and distributed tracing.
• Exposure to AI tools and automated testing frameworks.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of backend development experience with a focus on Python.
• Proven ability to tackle complex technical challenges and deliver scalable solutions.
