Senior C++ Engineer

Ciklum is looking for a Senior C++ Engineer to join our team full-time in Bulgaria.

About the role:

As a Senior C++ Engineer, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow.

We are looking for a Senior C++/Linux developer to design and develop applications and to coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure. Thus, a commitment to collaborative problem-solving, sophisticated design, and product quality is essential.

The client is particularly known for: enabling enterprises to maintain data sovereignty by allowing full control over where data resides; offering a solution that is highly customizable for hybrid and multicloud environments; providing tools for secure and efficient edge storage that integrates seamlessly with cloud infrastructure etc.

Responsibilities:

• Translate application storyboards and use cases into functional applications
• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable C++ code
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, security, and responsiveness of the applications
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs and devise solutions to these problems
• Quality ownership – maintain code quality, organization, and automation
• Can drill down into legacy code and find your way back alive

Requirements:

• BSc in Computer Science with a solid understanding of object-oriented programming
• Proficient in C++/ Linux, with a good knowledge of its ecosystems
• Familiar with various design and architectural patterns
• Skill for writing reusable C++ libraries
• Experience with both standalone and embedded open-source relational databases
• Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
• Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git
• Familiarity with CI/CD workflows
• Team player, autodidact, excellent communication skills

Desirable:

• Work experience in a storage/networking company
• Experience with Python
