We are looking for a visionary **Lead QA Automation Engineer** to design, build, and own our entire automated quality assurance infrastructure from the ground up, embedding AI to create a truly intelligent testing ecosystem.

What You’ll Ensure

You will be the guardian of quality for our suite of real-time multiplayer trading games. Your mission is to ensure a flawless player experience by building a world-class testing strategy for a platform that handles:

– Responsible web application that works great on any device

– Real-time WebSocket connections for thousands of concurrent players

– Sub-second trade execution with live price feeds from financial markets

– Jackpot and reward mechanisms that must be precise and reliable

– Scalable game orchestration managing multiple game instances simultaneously

Your Mission

As our founding QA Engineer, you will have complete ownership of quality. You’ll:

• Architect and build a scalable, end-to-end automated testing framework from scratch for our Python-based backend and React-based frontend.
• Integrate AI and Machine Learning into the QA process for intelligent test case generation, anomaly detection in game logs, and predictive bug analysis.
• Design and implement comprehensive testing strategies, including E2E, integration, performance, load, and security testing.
• Build and maintain a robust CI/CD pipeline for automated testing, enabling the development team to ship features with confidence and speed.
• Develop sophisticated performance and load tests to ensure our platform maintains solid performance under massive scale.
• Validate the integrity of our analytics pipelines (PostHog, Snowflake) to ensure data-driven decisions are based on accurate information.
• Champion a culture of quality across the engineering team, establishing best practices and mentoring developers in test-driven development.

Tech Stack You’ll Master

Core Platform Technologies:

• Backend: Python (FastAPI)
• Database: PostgreSQL, Snowflake, Posthog
• Game Logic: Event-driven architecture, WebSockets

QA & Automation Technologies You’ll Introduce:

• Test Frameworks: Pytest, Playwright, Cypress, or similar
• Performance Testing: k6, Locust, JMeter, or similar
• AI in Testing: Leverage AI/ML libraries and services for visual regression, log analysis, and test optimization.
• Cloud & CI/CD: GCP, Docker, Terraform, GitHub Actions

What We’re Looking For

Essential Requirements:

– 7+ years of production experience in a QA Automation or SDET role.

– Strong expertise in Python for building complex test automation frameworks.

– Proven experience designing and building automated testing infrastructure from the ground up.

– Hands-on experience with testing real-time systems, especially those using WebSockets.

– Understanding of CI/CD principles and experience integrating automated tests into deployment pipelines.

– Experience with performance and load testing tools and methodologies.

– A forward-thinking mindset with a keen interest in applying AI/ML to solve complex QA challenges.

Bonus Points:

– Experience in gaming, trading, or fintech industries.

– Experience with Web3/blockchain application testing.

– Experience with security testing and vulnerability analysis.
