What You’ll Be Building

You’ll be at the forefront of developing our suite of real-time multiplayer trading games where players compete in fast-paced prediction battles, leveraging live market data streams to create thrilling gaming experiences. Our platform handles:

Real-time WebSocket connections for thousands of concurrent players

Sub-second trade execution with live price feeds from financial markets

Sophisticated bot AI systems that create dynamic gameplay

Jackpot and reward mechanisms that keep players engaged

Scalable game orchestration managing multiple game instances simultaneously

Your Mission

As a Senior Developer, you’ll:

Architect and implement Web3 wallet integrations to enable crypto-native gaming experiences

Design and deploy cloud infrastructure on GCP/AWS using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)

Build sophisticated analytics pipelines using PostHog and BigQuery to understand player behavior and optimize game mechanics

Enhance our real-time game engine handling WebSocket connections, price streaming, and trade settlements

Develop new game modes and features that push the boundaries of multiplayer trading games

Optimize system performance to handle massive scale while maintaining sub-100ms latency

Mentor junior developers and establish engineering best practices

Tech Stack You’ll Master

Current Core Technologies:

Backend: Python (FastAPI)

Database: PostgreSQL, BigQuery, Posthog

Game Logic: Event-driven architecture, bot orchestration systems

Technologies You’ll Introduce:

Scaling: Refactor our backend to be stateless and scaleable

Web3: Wallet integrations (MetaMask, WalletConnect), smart contract interactions

Cloud Infrastructure: GCP/AWS services, Docker, Terraform

Infrastructure as Code: Terraform for reproducible deployments

Analytics: PostHog for product analytics, BigQuery/Snowflake for data warehousing

Monitoring: Distributed tracing, real-time alerting, performance optimization

What We’re Looking For

Essential Requirements:

• 4+ years of production experience building scalable web applications
• Strong expertise in Python and modern async frameworks
• Ability to make quick decisions, experiment and get to conclusions fast
• Ability to take ownership, from zero to one, on complete features and tasks.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (GCP or AWS)
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and microservices architecture
• Experience with analytics platforms (PostHog, or similar)
• Experience with data warehousing solutions (BigQuery, Snowflake, or similar)

Bonus Points:

• Experience in gaming, trading, or fintech industries
• Knowledge of financial markets and trading concepts
• Experience with real-time data streaming (Kafka, Redis Streams)
• Contributions to open-source projects
• Track record of implementing Web3/blockchain integrations
