GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE JOBFAMILY (IT)
Jobs in this functional discipline provide support to all IT activities within the Technology related activities
within the company. This functional discipline is involved in providing operational or technical support in
developing and operating IT strategy and solutions that deliver best offline and online experience for
customers, employees and internal stakeholders. This includes providing support to the effective and
efficient delivery of IT solutions for the company stack and the effective and efficient delivery of the IT roadmap.
Tasks also include the administration of the IT infrastructure within an organization, including the
physical network (e.g., LANs/WANs, servers, terminals) as well as server applications and software (e.g.,
PeopleSoft, Oracle).
Technology support functions typically identify, enhance and follow specific processes and procedures to
maximize the efficiencies of the IT department within the company, providing technical support to engineers and
scientists on a variety of technical tasks. This support group develops and recommends procedures and
methods and prepares technical reports and documentation, performs technical evaluations of events
to determine root cause; eventually recommending corrective action.
GENERIC DESCRIPTION OF THE ROLE
The level of the role is typically described by the following characteristics:
o This role is recognized as an expert within its own area within the organization, understanding how own
functional knowledge influences other, directly linked functional areas.
o The role has in-depth understanding of how own expertise contributes to the business and will
anticipate in updating expertise according to this.
o Provides leadership by training and/or mentoring junior staff
o The jobholder performs its job independently, maybe with guidance in most complex cases, solving
complex judgement based on analytical thought
o Jobholder typically has strong communicating skills to negotiate (internally, externally and often) at
higher levels and business leaders
o The role can be executed by a jobholder with HBO/WO more than 5 years of experience
o Typical for this role is to guide others in resolving complex issues in specialized areas based on existing
solutions and procedures
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / RESULT AREA’S
• Take care of the planning and execution of change requests
• Ensure the execution and planning of LCM activities including Capacity management
• Deliver customized changes
• Deliver reports and support audit activities
• Provide leadership and guidance to the colleagues within the team
• Act as a frontman and take responsibility for team activities
• Prevent issues and execute improvements wherever possible and useful

• Support Dev teams with various kinds of requests in a professional way
SPECIFIC SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/COMPETENCIES
o MS SQL Database Expertise: Advanced knowledge of MS SQL databases (2017 and later), including
Always-On Clusters with Availability Groups.
o Oracle Database Expertise: Experience with Oracle databases (19g), Oracle OVM, and ADG.
o Operating System Knowledge: Strong proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems.
o DevOps and Automation: Demonstrated experience with datacenter automation, scripting, automated
deployments, and private cloud solutions, along with familiarity with DevOps and Agile frameworks.
o Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
