Senior Network Engineer (DevOps/Cyber Security)

Role overview:

They are looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join the company’s infrastructure team. You will play a key role in designing, maintaining, and securing their high-availability network systems, contributing to automation and resilience across hybrid cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate, monitor, and maintain a highly available global backend network infrastructure
• Design, implement, and optimize network solutions in alignment with Agile/DevOps methodologies
• Supplier coordination and support to 1st/2nd line teams
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and contribute to the design of secure, resilient network architectures
• Continuously assess and improve network performance, automation, and scalability
• Maintain accurate network documentation, configurations, and operational procedures

What you need to succeed:

• Expert-level knowledge of Cisco networking technologies, including routing, switching, and enterprise infrastructure
• In-depth understanding of dynamic routing protocols (BGP, OSPF) and network segmentation (VRF, VLAN, MPLS)
• Strong scripting and automation skills using tools like Python, PowerShell, Bash, or Go for infrastructure management
• Experience building and maintaining infrastructure-as-code pipelines and automating network operations
• Experience with cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) and best practices in securing network environments
• Hands-on experience with cloud networking in Azure, AWS, or hybrid environments, including VPNs, ExpressRoute, or VPC peering
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., NetFlow, SNMP, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar)
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, agile environment with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
