Role summary:
As a System/IT Administrator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the company’s IT infrastructure. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency and productivity of their team, as you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting the computer systems and network devices. Your proactive approach to technical support will help minimize downtime and enhance the overall performance of the local IT environment.
Main duties:
Computer Maintenance: Regularly perform maintenance and updates on desktop and laptop computers to ensure optimal performance
Network Device Management: Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices to ensure a stable and secure network
Hardware Replacement: Manage the replacement of faulty or outdated hardware, including monitors, keyboards, mice, and other peripherals
Operating System Reinstallation: Install and reinstall operating systems as needed, ensuring all systems are up-to-date and running smoothly
New Workstation Setup: Prepare new workstations for employees, including hardware setup, software installation, and network configuration
Printer and Peripheral Support: Provide support for printers and other peripheral devices, ensuring they are functioning correctly
Software Management: Install, update, and maintain software applications used by employees, ensuring they meet organizational standards
System Security: Ensure the security of their network and data by performing regular backups, implementing antivirus measures, and monitoring for potential threats
User Support: Assist employees with technical issues, responding to inquiries and resolving problems in a timely manner
What to bring:
Educational Background: Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Experience: Previous experience in an IT support role or similar position
Technical Knowledge: Understanding of computer hardware, software, and network systems
Knowledge of Operating Systems: Familiarity with Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems
Knowledge of: Windows Server 2022, MikroTik routers, remote access and monitoring software’s
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to assist users and document procedures
Proficiency in English: Ability to work with technical documentation in English, as well as to prepare such documentation; communication at a working level, both written and spoken
Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with other team members and departments
Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
Nice to Have:
Certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+, or other relevant certifications
Security: Installation and maintenance of access control and video surveillance systems
Scripting Skills: Basic knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) for automation tasks
Cloud Services: Understanding of cloud services and platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
