As part of a well-established proprietary trading firm, their internal tech department has long supported professional traders with custom-built software. This project builds on that foundation to deliver a high-performance, commercial trading solution from the ground up.
Their goal is to create something unique: a trading platform that combines real-time execution capabilities with AI-powered feedback and coaching, built on top of our proven mentorship experience in live trading environments. At its core is a robust back-end architecture and an intelligence layer that actively monitors trading activity, delivering actionable insights and real-time guidance to traders as they operate.
Role Overview:
We’re looking for a mid-level .NET engineer to join their team on a full-time basis. While the core need is backend-focused, they’re also open to full-stack developers who are comfortable working across both backend and frontend layers.
Engagement:
Full-time (40 hours/week)
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain back-end microservices using C# and .NET 9.
Work with event-driven systems to process and respond to real-time trading data.
Build and improve microservices that support execution logic, data processing, and trader guidance.
Collaborate with other engineers, including infrastructure, design, and data teams, to deliver well-integrated features.
Write clean, testable, and efficient code with attention to performance and reliability.
Requirements:
3-5 years of experience with C# and .NET.
Familiar with event-driven design and high-performance stream data processing.
Experience with building microservices.
Experience working with message brokers like Apache Pulsar (ideally), Kafka or RabbitMQ.
Good working knowledge of SQL databases, ideally PostgreSQL.
Comfortable working with Docker and containerized applications.
Experience writing clean, testable, and production-ready code.
Familiarity with gRPC or REST API design is a plus.
Familiarity with frontend development (Avalonia UI) is a plus.
Background in financial systems or real-time trading platforms is a plus.
What they offer:
Remote-first work environment with a flexible, collaborative team.
Opportunity to work on an innovative product with modern architecture and real-time performance challenges.
Full-time, long-term engagement.
A chance to help shape a commercial product backed by a successful proprietary trading firm.
