For their IT Division, we are currently supporting them in recruiting an experienced IT professional who will hold the position of: BANK CARD APPLICATIONS MANAGER

In this position, you will be responsible for the end-to-end implementation, development, and operation of card-related digital services and APIs. In addition, you will be involved in managing a team of IT Engineers and Card Specialists, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement, as well as engaging in strategic planning, vendor coordination, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver reliable and innovative payment card services.

Main responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and operate Payment card solutions and respective APIs in alignment with business and regulatory requirements;
• Apply the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) cycle to manage development and operations within budget, time, and quality constraints;
• Oversee quality assurance to ensure full coverage of developed functionality, security standards, and API integrations;
• Ensure reliable operations and service continuity within agreed SLAs and vendor contracts;
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Cards experts, DevOps engineers, and technical specialists.

Essential requirements for the role:

• University degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in Computer Science, Economics, (Business) Informatics, Software Engineering, or equivalent combination of professional training and experience;
• Proven experience in the Payment Cards industry, including card processing systems and related software;
• Solid understanding of banking business processes and regulatory frameworks;
• Hands-on experience with card application functionalities and operational workflows;
• Very good command of English, both written and spoken;
• Familiarity with DevOps practices (advantageous);
• Experience with Agile PM methodologies and tools (advantageous).
