Software Engineer [.NET, Cloud, SQL Server] – 1-Year Contract

We are looking for a .NET Developer (Contractor) to join our client’s team – a global company in the media industry. This is a 1-year contract position offering an exciting opportunity to work on large-scale projects with modern technologies.

Role Overview

As a .NET Developer, you will work closely with the development team to design, develop, and maintain high-quality applications. You will also be responsible for deploying, managing, and supporting cloud-based solutions using AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. This role requires collaboration with product managers, QA engineers, and other developers to ensure efficient and reliable software delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy scalable, secure, and high-performance applications using .NET (C#) and SQL Server.
• Write optimized SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions for efficient data handling.
• Deploy and manage applications in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Debug and troubleshoot software issues to ensure performance and reliability.
• Work with cross-functional teams to define requirements and provide technical solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in .NET development, cloud technologies, and SQL Server.
• Document development processes, best practices, and technical solutions. 

Requirements

• Strong expertise in .NET Framework/.NET Core, C#, and ASP.NET.
• Hands-on experience with SQL Server – writing complex queries, stored procedures, and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and cloud deployment strategies (e.g., App Services, Functions, EC2).
• Solid understanding of relational databases, schema design, indexing, and performance tuning.
• Proficiency in Git or similar version control systems.
• Strong analytical and debugging skills.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal. 

Nice to have:

• Experience with cloud-native applications, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), or CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of front-end technologies (JavaScript, React, Angular) is a plus.
• Understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
