QA Automation Engineer – Contractor

We are seeking a highly skilled and self-motivated QA Automation Engineer Contractor to join our distributed engineering team at a leading global media company for a 6-month engagement.

The ideal candidate will be persistent, customer focused, and have high accountability for work, ready to own the domain space.

Key Responsibilities

• Decomposition of user stories into quality focused tasks.
• Perform manual testing of user stories and features.
• Create robust QA automation scripts using modern tools.
• Conduct REST API testing using Postman/SoapUI.
• Execute cloud development testing of SaaS applications on AWS or GCP.
• Ensure data integrity and validation using SQLServer database.
• Implement and integrate testing within CI/CD pipelines.
• Own the domain space , working without significant oversight.
• Utilize AI tools such as Mabl or Claude for efficiency, quality, and performance.
• Demonstrate persistence and the ability to learn through code inspection

Required Skills & Experience

• Expertise in creation of QA automation scripts using at least one of the following: Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, testRigor 
• Proven experience in REST API testing using Postman/SoapUI.
• Experience with cloud development testing of SaaS applications on AWS or GCP.
• Proficiency in testing and validating data within SQLServer database.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Past experience working in distributed engineering teams.
• Experience using AI tools for efficiency, quality, and performance (e.g. Mabl, Claude).
