The Axway Cloud Engineering team is a group of subject matter experts within R&D that tightly collaborates with Product Development (R&D) and Cloud Operations teams to maintain infrastructure provisioning and management, end-to-end CI/CD code delivery, manage security, and consult on any cloud and containerization topics. This involves a strong technology background for AWS, Azure, and Kubernetes, extensive usage of centralized source and configuration management and dedication to self-serve automation, as well as a solid proficiency in infrastructure as Code (IaC).
Responsibilities
In this role, you will be a part of the infrastructure group of Cloud Engineering, delivering a suite of tools to both Cloud Operations and R&D teams to improve their operational efficiency and support our self-service strategy. You will be exposed to a full software delivery lifecycle process, involving technologies such as Terraform for Azure, Gitlab CI, and a variety of Azure services. You will maintain and create Axway Terraform framework, thereby expanding the range of business cases covered.
Your responsibilities will include:
Build, maintain, automate, ensure reliability of Axway Terraform platform that fits infrastructure requirements of Axway products by using system/software engineering best practices and the latest technologies:
DevOps (Azure, GitLab CI, Kubernetes)
Infrastructure-as-Code and Configuration-as-Code (Terraform, Ansible, Scripting)
Document and handover robust automated solutions to our R&D and Cloud Operations team,
Maintain uptime of the CI/CD service and respond to incidents promptly.
Have an intrinsic drive for learning. The rest (platforms, training, conferences, etc.) is on us.
Qualifications
Ideally, you would have a mixture of the following:
Working experience of Terraform development to provision and deploy the infrastructure of Azure (4+ years)
Working experience with Ansible Automation and authoring playbooks and roles for installing, maintaining, or upgrading platforms
Proficiency in Azure cloud services, including, AKS, virtual machines, containers, networking, and databases and security best practices, including role-based access control (RBAC). (3+ years)
Experience in designing, implementing, and managing Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using GitLab CI, or similar tools. (2+ years)
Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes. (5+ years)
Strong English communication and teamwork skills
Experience working in an Agile development environment is strongly desired
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
The certifications of Azure Solution Architect Expert(AZ-306) or Azure Administrator Associate(AZ-104) are preferred.
