DevOps Engineer – Infrastructure, Monitoring, and Security

We are seeking a talented and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our team, focusing on the design, implementation, and maintenance of our AWS-based infrastructure, monitoring systems, and security protocols. You will work on high-performance, scalable systems that power our microservices architecture, ensuring high availability and rapid recovery in line with our Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BCDR) Plan. This role is ideal for engineers passionate about cloud infrastructure, security, and blockchain technologies.

Responsibilities:

●    Design, deploy, and manage AWS infrastructure (EC2, RDS, S3, ELB) across primary (us-east-1) and disaster recovery (us-west-2) regions using CloudFormation and automation scripts.
●    Implement multi-AZ and multi-region redundancy with AWS Cross-Region Replication (CRR) and Route 53 for failover and traffic routing.
●    Configure and maintain real-time monitoring with AWS CloudWatch, including metrics, dashboards, and alerts for system health and performance.
●    Enforce security measures using AWS KMS for encryption, IAM policies, MFA, AWS Shield, and Web Application Firewall (WAF) to protect against threats like DDoS attacks.
●    Execute and test disaster recovery procedures, ensuring Recovery Time Objectives and Recovery Point Objectives are met for critical services.
●    Collaborate with developers to optimize microservices.
●    Utilize Docker for building and deploying containerized applications.
●    Participate in quarterly audits and simulations to validate infrastructure resilience and compliance.
●    Troubleshoot and debug infrastructure issues, providing on-call support as part of the Emergency Response Team.
●    Write and maintain documentation for system configurations, recovery procedures, and network diagrams.

Requirements:

●    Proficiency in AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3, ELB, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, KMS, GuardDuty).
●    Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform) and scripting (e.g., Bash, Python).
●    Strong understanding of monitoring tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Security Hub) and security practices (encryption, IAM, MFA).
●    Familiarity with Docker and containerized application development.
●    Knowledge of MySQL/PostgreSQL administration and Redis caching.
●    Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins preferred).
●    Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
●    Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with technical and leadership teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

●    AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or Solutions Architect certification.
●    Experience with blockchain technologies, cryptocurrency wallets, or Virtual Asset Service Providers (VASPs).
●    Knowledge of VARA or SEC Rule 17a-4 compliance requirements.
●    Familiarity with gRPC and Kafka for inter-service communication.
●    Understanding of microservices architecture and real-time data processing.
●    Experience with cron jobs and scheduled tasks for backup automation.
