Automation QA Engineer

At Astea we design, implement, and support multi-platform, large scale applications. We’re seeking a talented Automation QA Engineer to join our team of passionate technology oriented professionals. As a member of our quality assurance team, you will be responsible for developing, and maintaining automated test suites using industry-standard testing frameworks and tools, with a focus on TypeScript.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain comprehensive automated test suites using testing frameworks such as Playwright or Cypress
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and design test plans that cover functional and non-functional aspects
• Develop and execute manual and automated test cases to verify new features and ensure best coverage
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with development teams to resolve issues
• Participate in feedback loops, providing constructive input across the organization

Requirements:

• University degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
• 1+ years of hands-on experience in QA automation or software testing
• Еxperience in either web or mobile application testing
• Strong understanding of QA practices and the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated, analytical, and a strong team player
• Very good command of English

Preferred skills:

• Experience with TypeScript, JavaScript or similar languages
• Knowledge of testing frameworks such as WebdriverIO, Mocha, Playwright, or Cypress
• Deep understanding of agile development methodologies
• ISTQB certification
• Experience with version control systems such as Git
