    We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer with deep expertise in .NET Framework / .NET 8, SQL Server, and modern front-end technologies (Angular, React, TypeScript/JavaScript). This role combines hands-on development with technical leadership, requiring someone who can both design and build scalable solutions while guiding the team toward best practices, high-quality code, and efficient delivery.

    About the Client

    UK-based provider of digital survey solutions. Launched in 2010, the company has rapidly grown into one of the leading online survey platforms in the UK and Europe.

     

    Project Tech Stack 

    • .NET Framework 4.7.2 and .NET 8
    • ASP.NET MVC and ASP.NET WebAPI
    • SQL Server 2019, T-SQL
    • TypeScript and JavaScript
    • Experience with Angular, React, and jQuery (project-dependent)
    • Bootstrap

     

    What You’ll Do

    • Lead technical design and architecture decisions for complex applications across .NET and front-end stacks
    • Mentor and guide a team of engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing
    • Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using .NET Framework / .NET 8
    • Build and maintain REST APIs with ASP.NET WebAPI
    • Drive adoption of modern UI practices while developing front-end features in Angular, React, or jQuery
    • Write and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures in SQL Server 2019
    • Ensure responsive, user-friendly interfaces with Bootstrap and modern frameworks
    • Collaborate with Product Owners, QA, and DevOps to align business requirements with technical execution
    • Support and modernize legacy systems while defining the roadmap for future architecture
    • Promote engineering excellence, coding standards, and agile best practices within the team

     

    What You Bring 

    • 7+ years of experience in software development with .NET technologies
    • Strong expertise in .NET Framework 4.x and .NET 6/7/8
    • Hands-on experience with ASP.NET MVC and WebAPI
    • Solid skills in SQL Server and T-SQL for data-driven applications
    • Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript
    • Practical experience with Angular and/or React (jQuery is a plus)
    • Experience with Bootstrap or similar UI frameworks
    • Strong communication and leadership skills — able to collaborate, coach, and influence technical direction
    • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to balance hands-on coding and leadership responsibilities
    • The need to work with VDI on the project

     

    Nice to have

    • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)
    • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
    • Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
    • Background in Agile/Scrum environments
