We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the mechanical development and manufacturability of our next-generation display solutions. This role focuses on mechanical design, assembly optimization, and thermal management, ensuring our products are robust, scalable, and production-ready. The ideal candidate will work closely with hardware, process, and production teams to develop efficient, high-quality mechanical solutions while maintaining design consistency and manufacturability standards.
THE PERFECT TEAM MEMBER IS INSPIRED TO:
Develop and optimize mechanical designs for display integration.
Create 3D CAD models, technical drawings, and BOMs.
Design jigs, fixtures, and support tooling.
Validate and refine designs through prototyping, testing, and material selection.
Support manufacturing readiness, ensuring designs follow DFM/DFA principles and are optimized for production scalability.
Maintain design documentation, version control, and technical standards.
THE SKILLS THAT WILL GRAB OUR ATTENTION:
Experience in mechanical design and product development, preferably for display or electronic enclosures.
Proficiency in 3D CAD software (preferably SolidWorks and 3DEXPERIENCE, or another PDM system).
Knowledge of sheet metal design, machining, and assembly techniques.
Knowledge of protective glass design, including shaping, printing, coatings, and adhesion methods.
Understanding of thermal management principles for electronic enclosures.
Strong understanding of tolerance analysis, stack-up calculations, and mechanical fit validation.
Very good command of English, both written and verbal.
SKILLS CONSIDERED AS AN ADVANTAGE:
Experience with optical bonding and display mounting solutions.
Knowledge of shock, vibration, and durability testing for mechanical systems.
Hands-on experience with hardware products.
Experience with design for mass production, including plastic injection molding and die casting.
Experience with automated assembly processes and adhesive application techniques.
