DesignTechnologies is the successor of the technology company Clppings. The core team that created Clippings.com, an ecommerce platform operating in the UK, was acquired by Material Bank, a unicorn company based in the US. Material Bank acquired Clippings in the summer of 2021.
With investments of over $150 million from leading venture funds such as General Catalyst, Material Bank spun off the Clippings technology team into the newly formed DesignTechnologies to be able to develop its technology for the entire industry.
