Python Developer

We are looking for a Python Developer to join one of our teams – Vectorworks.

Vectorworks is a leading design and BIM software, used to create some of the greatest buildings, landscapes and entertainment products worldwide. As a company, they are a part of the Nemetschek Group family and also our partner for more than 25 years. Our dedicated Vectorworks team works on the development of their solutions, as well as on their distributors’ community tools and internal systems.

YOUR DAILY CHALLENGES

• Contributing to different layers of our technology stack, including backend services, databases, APIs;
• Working with and supporting other team members;
• Keeping an eye on the latest technology trends;
• Be part of an R&D SCRUM team.

OUR EXPECTATIONS

• 3+ years of professional Python development experience;
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) and software design patterns;
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs;
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred; Azure, GCP, or other cloud providers also valued);
• Proven track record working with high-traffic applications and scalable systems;
• Solid experience with relational databases and optimising queries for large datasets;
• Detail-oriented approach with strong organisational skills;
• Ability to adapt quickly as priorities evolve in a dynamic environment;
• Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal);
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field preferred.

CONSIDERED AS A PLUS

• Experience with Django (or other Python frameworks like Flask, FastAPI);
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL;
• Familiarity with DevOps tools, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation;
• Experience with systems/network automation and monitoring;
• Background in agile/SCRUM methodologies.
