CLOUD TECH LEAD

We are looking for a Cloud Tech Lead / Site Reliability Engineer (Storage) to take ownership of highly available, large-scale storage platforms within a cloud-native environment.

This is a senior, hands-on role for an engineer who cares deeply about stability, automation, and long-term reliability, and who wants to shape storage services used at scale across multiple regions.

Your Impact

• Own the stability, availability, and resilience of cloud storage platforms (Block, Object, File, Backup).
• Proactively monitor systems, resolve incidents, and prevent recurring issues.
• Design and evolve robust storage architectures built for scale and long-term reliability.
• Drive automation-first operations across provisioning, scaling, and lifecycle management.
• Take full end-to-end responsibility for storage services, from design to operations.
• Lead performance optimisation and capacity planning for future growth.
• Own incident response, post-mortem analysis, and continuous improvement actions.

What You’ll Be Working On

• Cloud-scale storage systems (Block, Object, File, Backup).
• Automation using Golang / Python / Bash / Ansible.
• Containerised storage environments (Kubernetes).
• Monitoring, alerting, and observability (Prometheus, Grafana, Elasticsearch).
• APIs and integrations (REST APIs).
• Performance tuning, troubleshooting, and high-availability designs.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong experience operating enterprise or cloud-scale storage systems (e.g. NetApp, Ceph, Pure, Cohesity or similar).
• Deep hands-on expertise in storage operations: provisioning, scaling, migrations, incident response.
• Solid background in cloud architectures and distributed systems.
• Strong automation mindset and experience with infrastructure scripting and tooling.
• Experience with containerised environments (Kubernetes).
• Proven ability to design for reliability, performance, and resilience.
• Comfortable working with APIs and contributing to their evolution.
• Excellent communication skills in English (German is a plus).
