About the Client

The leading provider of vehicle lifecycle solutions, with headquarters in Chicago, enables the companies that build, insure, and replace vehicles to power the next generation of transportation. Its platform delivers advanced mobile, artificial intelligence, and car technologies. It connects a network of 350+ insurance companies, 24,000+ repair facilities, hundreds of parts suppliers, and dozens of third-party data and service providers. The customer’s collective solutions enhance productivity and help clients deliver better experiences for end consumers.

Responsibilities:

• Planning and defining workflows for iterations, release management and issue tracking
• Support Code development review, maintain source code management tools, and code merging support
• Use continuous integration tools, maintain repository, automate Builds and provide build status
• Collaborate on Releases and perform change management, release approvals, release automation (moving builds into a release artifact).
• Perform Deployment services, incident management and response in a consultative manner.
• Maintain DevOps Operational environments, automating and using infrastructure as code, ensures appropriate security and access levels to environment tools and resources.
• Upgrade and support Elastic Kubernetes Services and Azure Kubernetes Service cluster infrastructure according to GitOps best practices.
• Facilitate the deployment of highly available, recoverable, and scalable microservices to Kubernetes and the deployment of traditional applications to virtual machines behind load balancers.
• Investigate and mitigate issues associated with the performance and security of Kubernetes and DevOps related cloud infrastructure.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of engineering experience  in a DevOps role
• Experience with Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, and Continuous testing
• Experience in a DevOps role focused on containerization, cloud computing
• Experience with use of pipelines to support matching environments, automated deployment, pipelines, and version control efforts
• Experience with monitoring and lifecycle management of systems, platforms and pipelines
• Proven ability to build and maintain relationships across cross-functional teams and customers
• Highly effective communication, time management and organization skills
