    Position Overview

    Our client is a US-based tour operator.

    The team is working on the development of a data warehouse and creating BI reports using this DWH as a data source.

    The team follows an Agile development approach and consists of several Data Engineers, a Business Analyst, a Power BI Engineer, and a Project Manager. The team is supported by subject matter experts from the client side.

     

    Resoponsibilities

    • Provide technical leadership for the team
    • Support technical discovery activities
    • Design, manage, and evolve the project’s data infrastructure
    • Develop blueprints and data models, defining data structures, relationships, and data flows
    • Design ETL/ELT pipelines, ensuring security and compliance while integrating data from diverse external sources
    • Perform data source analysis, profiling, and integration analysis
    • Work with SMEs, business, and technical stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions
    • Identify bottlenecks, optimize database performance, and ensure systems are scalable and efficient
    • Align data architecture with overall business goals and IT strategy
    • Elicit business needs and requirements, and determine the technical scope and timelines for the project
    • Execute platform governance, compliance, and technical standards
    • Support technical backlog evolution, refinement, and prioritization
    • Contribute to the long-term architectural roadmap

     

    Requirements

    • 5+ years of experience as a Data Architect on commercial projects
    • Hands-on experience with the Microsoft Azure platform
    • Experience with data integration and processing services, including Azure Data Factory (ADF)
    • Experience working with relational databases, particularly SQL Server
    • Experience with DevOps practices and tools, including Azure DevOps
    • Knowledge of cloud storage solutions, such as Azure Storage Accounts
    • Experience implementing security and secrets management, including Azure Key Vault
    • Experience with analytics and semantic modeling services, such as Azure Analysis Services
    • Strong understanding of architectural principles, data modeling, and best practices
    • Experience implementing policies, lineage tracking, compliance, and data protection
    • Ability to design, deliver, and present architecture documentation

     

    Nice To Have

    • Experience with Power BI
    • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and experience working in Scrum teams
    • Excellent communication skills
