What you’ll be working on?
At Camplight, we support multiple partner platforms and internal initiatives across different FIT leads, including R&D and long-running production systems. As Director, DevOps, you’ll operate at a platform-wide level, helping define how infrastructure, CI/CD, and operational excellence are delivered across teams and technologies.

Cloud and on-premise infrastructure supporting multiple products
Automated CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code foundations
Platform reliability, scalability, and operational maturity
Cross-team DevOps standards and best practices
Your Role
Your role will focus on technical leadership and direction.
Provide technical leadership across DevOps and platform engineering
Define and evolve standards for CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and operational practices
Support multiple FIT leads and technology stacks (including R&D environments)
Lead incident response at a strategic level and guide post-incident improvements
Act as a trusted advisor to engineers, managers, and partners
Help scale DevOps practices as platforms and teams grow
Directors may focus on specific platform areas (e.g. cloud infrastructure, developer experience, reliability), while contributing to the overall DevOps strategy.

Requirements
8+ years of experience in DevOps, platform, or infrastructure engineering
Proven experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines at scale
Strong experience with infrastructure-as-code (e.g. Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation)
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, or similar)
Strong understanding of Linux-based systems, networking, and observability
Experience leading or coordinating incident response
Experience supporting R&D or experimental environments
Background in SRE practices
Experience defining platform standards across multiple teams
Prior experience as a director, principal, or staff-level role

What does the interview process look like?
Initial Interview: A friendly 45-minute cultural and technical interview with two Camplight team members focusing on leadership, experience, and technical depth.
You can choose between two Technical Deep Dive options:
Homework Assignment: A short senior-level exercise (~2 hours) followed by a 1-hour discussion.
Architecture / Incident Review Session: A 2-hour deep dive into real-world DevOps and platform scenarios.
