Senior Python Developer – Internal Development Team

We are looking for an experienced Python Developer to join the Internal Development Team.

In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain internal tools, APIs, and automation solutions that streamline business operations and improve efficiency across Capital.com.

You’ll collaborate closely with teams across Engineering, Security, Operations, and Compliance, developing high-quality, secure, and maintainable software that supports internal workflows, data integration, and emerging AI-driven initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain internal services, tools, and automation scripts using Python with occasional use frontend frameworks to build simple web interfaces.
• Build and integrate APIs to connect internal and third-party systems (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Okta, Slack, AWS).
• Design and implement AI-based features such as data classification, anomaly detection, and intelligent automation to enhance internal processes.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
• Optimize system performance and ensure reliability and security.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and participate in code reviews.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for internal applications.
• Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.

Requirments:

• 3–5+ years of professional experience as a Python Developer.
• Strong proficiency in Python 3.x, including asynchronous programming and REST API development.
• Experience with frameworks such as Flask, FastAPI, or Django.
• Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Basic proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to support frontend integration or build lightweight admin dashboards.
• Experience working with templating engines or basic frontend frameworks (React, Vue.js, or similar) is a plus.
• Practical experience applying AI in production environments.
• Ability to design, develop, and integrate AI solutions into services or automation workflows.
• Familiarity with data preprocessing, model deployment, and API-based AI integration.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with GitLab CI/CD or similar pipelines.
• Understanding of API authentication, OAuth2, and secure data handling.
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred:

• Experience working with AWS services.
• Experience with Kubernetes deployments and management.
• Experience integrating with enterprise tools (Jira API, Okta API, Slack API).
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code and DevOps practices.
• Exposure to logging and monitoring stacks (ELK, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Understanding of secure coding practices and compliance requirements in fintech or regulated environments.
• General understanding of the math and algorithms behind AI and related technologies
