Our client is looking for an experienced Android Development Tech Lead to join their growing mobile engineering team. This is a key leadership role with direct impact on large-scale, real-world applications where performance and reliability truly matter.

About the Role

As Tech Lead, you will combine hands-on Android development with team leadership. You’ll drive the design and delivery of mission-critical Android and iOS apps, mentor mobile engineers, and introduce modern technologies to ensure scalable, high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead by example with active Android development (Kotlin/Java) and support iOS colleagues.
• Own the full lifecycle of mobile applications – from design and coding to deployment and maintenance.
• Provide guidance, mentorship, and code reviews for mobile engineers.
• Monitor performance, resolve production issues, and ensure reliability at scale.
• Drive adoption of modern tools, libraries, and best practices in mobile development.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, aligning tech strategy with business needs.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Android development experience (Kotlin & Java).
• 2+ years in a Tech Lead or senior leadership role.
• Strong expertise in Android application architecture, lifecycle, and Jetpack libraries.
• Experience with concurrency (coroutines, flows, threading) and Material Design principles.
• Proficiency with Google Play services, Firebase, and push notifications.
• Excellent command of English (written & spoken).

Nice to Have

• REST APIs (OkHttp, Retrofit).
• Unit & Instrumentation testing frameworks, Mock server.
• Git, debugging tools (Charles), Jira.
• Exposure to iOS (Swift, SwiftUI) or cross-platform frameworks (Flutter).
