As a Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer at Cloud Office, you’ll contribute to modernizing and transitioning enterprise infrastructures to the cloud. We’re looking for someone with solid experience who can work independently but also collaborate well with both internal teams and customers.

In this role, you’ll help assess existing infrastructure, support smooth cloud transitions and provide input on architecture and best practices. You’ll also occasionally be involved in pre-sales discussions, offering technical insight and helping shape solutions that meet client needs. The work is varied, and you will have opportunities to solve meaningful problems and make an impact where it matters.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Cloud Infrastructure: Lead the design, provisioning, configuration, and management of highly available, scalable, secure and cost effective cloud infrastructure primarily on GCP and AWS using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
    • Automation & Tooling: Drive automation across the entire software development lifecycle, covering underlying infrastructure provisioning and application deployments from non-production to production. Ensure effective usage of CI/CD tools such as Github actions, Gitlab/Bitbucket pipelines, scripting languages (e.g., Python, Go, Bash) to achieve any operational tasks related to workloads build and deployment processes.
    • Monitoring, Logging & Alerting: Implement, maintain, and enhance comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using Cloud native logging and monitoring services as well as extend/integrate 3rd party observability toolsets (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Datadog, Splunk) to ensure system health, performance, and proactive issue detection.
    • Reliability & Scalability: Collaborate closely with development and SRE teams to identify and address performance bottlenecks, optimize resource utilization, and ensure the reliability, scalability and resilience of our cloud-native applications.
    • Security & Compliance: Implement and enforce solid cloud security posture using cloud native security services. Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and customer’s internal policies.
    • Incident Response & Troubleshooting: Act as a subject matter expert in troubleshooting complex production issues, conducting root cause analysis and implementing preventative measures.
    • Knowledge Sharing & Mentorship: Mentor junior engineers, contribute to documentation and share expertise within the team to elevate overall technical capabilities and promote a culture of continuous learning.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
    • 5+ years in DevOps, SRE, or a similar role, with a strong focus on cloud environments
    • Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS or GCP), including: Compute, Storage, Networking, IAM, Logging & Monitoring, Security, Databases, Containers, Serverless
    • Proficient in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
    • Experience setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI or similar)
    • Solid knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
    • Strong grasp of cloud networking fundamentals (VPCs, Load Balancing, DNS, VPNs, etc.)
    • Ability to troubleshoot complex systems and performance issues
    • Good communication and teamwork skills
    • Self-driven, adaptable, and curious to learn new technologies

    Nice to have

    • Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS or GCP DevOps Engineer)
    • Experience with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Datadog, or Splunk
    • Familiarity with microservices and serverless architectures
