What are we looking for?

We are looking for an experienced Android developer to join our Dictionaries and Translators team. Our two main products are Oxford Dictionary of English and Talk & Translate apps, available for iOS, Android and Windows, and installed by millions of users. We are looking for a motivated developer to join our team.

Requirements:

• 2-3 years of experience as an Android apps developer – using Kotlin and Java
• Experience with Flutter mobile development (Dart) will be considered as an advantage
• M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Informatics, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent will be considered as an advantage
• Experience working with version control (e.g., Git, Gerrit, Bitbucket)
• Understanding of the full mobile development lifecycle
• Knowledge of main architecture & design patterns (MVVM, MVC, etc.)
• Knowledge of SOLID principles, clean architecture and unit and integration testing
• Attention to detail

Extra credits for:

• Experience with Google Cloud APIs – Google App Engine, SQL
• Experience with Sqlite, MySql
• Experience using JetPack Compose
