DevOps Engineer

Libra is seeking a skilled and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our Sofia team. In this role, you will be crucial in advancing our vision for next-generation enterprise asset management. Your expertise will bridge the gap between development and operations, ensuring the reliability, scalability, and seamless delivery and deployment of our platform, both on-premise and in the cloud.

Key Requirements:

• Educational Background: A degree in Computer Science is fundamental.
• DevOps Expertise:

Minimum of 2 years of practical experience in a DevOps or Infrastructure role.

Proficiency with Git for version control.

Hands-on experience with automation tools like Ansible.

Experience with CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins.

Strong command of Linux/Unix operating systems and shell scripting.

Practical experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).

• Networking Knowledge: Solid understanding of the OSI model and networking concepts (tunneling, DNS, routing, VPN, firewall configuration).
• Database Management:

Solid working knowledge of SQL.

Experience with database migration tools (e.g., Liquibase, Flyway) is a plus.

• Infrastructure Proficiency: Hands-on experience with on-premise deployment management and support.
• Monitoring & Observability: Experience in setting up and managing monitoring and logging solutions for enterprise-grade applications.
• Security Awareness: Understanding of potential security exposures.
• Programming Skills: Modest development experience, ideally in Java or C++, for integration and automation tasks.
• Communication: Fluent professional English (written and spoken) is essential.

• Containerization & Orchestration: Drive the adoption and refinement of containerization and orchestration best practices.
• Cloud Deployment: Apply practical experience with major cloud platforms and cloud deployment best practices.
• Database Management: Oversee database change management, including versioning change-logs and safely applying schema migrations across deployment environments.
• System Reliability & Monitoring: Implement robust monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions to proactively identify and resolve performance issues and bottlenecks.
• Networking & Security: Maintain, improve, and troubleshoot internal networking and security configurations.
• System Integrations: Develop and maintain system integrations and automation tools.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the development team to troubleshoot environment issues and ensure smooth application life cycle management.
