    Commerzbank is a leading international commercial bank with branches and offices in almost 50 countries. The world is changing, becoming digital, and so are we. We are leaving the traditional bank behind us and we are choosing to move forward as a digital enterprise.

    As part of this strategy, Commerzbank continues the expansion of its Digital Technology Center in Sofia, Bulgaria. We need motivated people who will join us on this journey and we are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer (TeamCity, Java) in our CI/CD CHAMP team.

    The CI/CD CHAMP cluster is responsible for the development and provision of services in the area of Continuous Delivery, and Continuous Integration. We provide automated deployment environments, customized delivery pipelines, test automation tools and expertise, as well as onboarding services. Our customers and partners are other software development teams within Commerzbank.

    Your tasks:

    • Continuously improving software development processes and practices using latest industry trends;
    • Designing and developing standardized CI pipelines and reusable build templates for various technologies (e.g., Java, Node.js, Python, .NET, etc.);
    • Integration of CI/CD pipelines with testing frameworks, quality gates, and automated security checks;
    • Documenting CI standards and establishing best practices for use across teams;
    • Collaborating with developers to onboard them onto modern CI pipelines while addressing their specific needs;
    • Evaluating and exploring next-gen build and CI tools (Google Cloud Build, Azure Pipelines, Tekton) to enable expansion beyond systems like TeamCity;
    • Working in an agile team setup and participating in alignment meetings.

    Your profile:

    • Strong experience with TeamCity;
    • Strong experience with SDLC, preferred in Java, further programming languages (e.g. Python, C#, JS) will be appreciated;
    • Solid understanding of build tools (e.g., Maven, Gradle, npm) and dependency management;
    • Experience with Cloud (GCP, Azure, OpenShift);
    • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes or other);
    • Expertise with Git, including working with branching strategies, creating automation hooks, and integrating with CI tools;
    • Willingness to explore and share best practices around tools and methodology;
    • Fluency in English;
    • University degree in IT or relevant.
