QA Automation Engineer

We are looking for a talented QA Automation Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with Cypress.io and Playwright. They will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated end-to-end tests for our web applications. This person will be responsible for detecting, analyzing and resolving issues to meet and maintain quality standards. We are looking to expand on our success within the industry.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for various types of testing (functional, integration, performance, system, and acceptance).
• Ensure the quality and reliability of the automated tests by conducting thorough code reviews and debugging.
• Collaborate with QA Analysts and developers to identify areas where automation can improve testing efficiency.
• Guide the local QA team, providing mentorship, support, and direction in test planning and execution.
• Continuously research and evaluate new automation tools, technologies, and best practices.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the test automation framework and processes.
• Contribute towards reusable automation code and documentation to increase consistency and save effort.
• Conduct thorough manual testing of software applications.
• Create and maintain detailed test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test scripts for various types of testing (functional, integration, system, and acceptance).
• Collaborate with developers to identify, track, and resolve defects.
• Provide input on testing strategies and methodologies, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
• Follow QA SOPs, standards, processes, and best practices.
• Provide regular updates to Project Leadership, QA Leadership, and Stakeholders.

Requirements:

• UI Automation using Tools/Frameworks – Cypress and Playwright.
• Performance Testing using tools/frameworks like JMeter.
• Programming in languages/scripts like Java, C#, JavaScript, TypeScript.
• Knowledge of SDLC Methodologies like Scrum and Kanban (preferred).
• Test Case Design and Execution using test management tools like Zephyr.
• Bug Tracking and Reporting using project management tools like Jira.
• API Testing using tools like Postman.
• Mobile Testing on real devices as well as cloud platforms like BrowserStack.
• Experience with SQL Server.
• Data/Payload formats like JSON, XML, HTML.
• Debugging using Browser Dev Tools and Application Logs.
• Knowledge of eCommerce platforms like Shopify, Magento, OroCommerce.
• Experience with CMS platforms such as Sitecore, Sitefinity, or Kentico is a plus.
• Experience with AI-powered automation tools or frameworks (e.g., Playwright-MCP) to enhance test generation and execution.
• Eager to experiment, learn, and apply AI to elevate testing efficiency and effectiveness.
• Strong attention to detail.
