We are seeking a motivated Data Engineer to play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and managing our data warehouse (DW) infrastructure. You will be responsible for building and optimizing our DW and establishing robust, scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest, transform, and load data from various sources.
We know our data. It is positioned in different back-office databases. We will be transferring our knowledge to you, so you can focus on creating the DW where we expect to gather data from all the sources in a structured way. We have a deep understanding of our data, which is currently distributed across several back-office databases. You’ll receive full knowledge transfer from us, enabling you to focus on building the Data Warehouse — a centralized, well-structured hub that will bring together information from all sources.
Key Responsibilities:
Design: Architect, and maintain the data warehouse schema.
Build: Choose technology stack and create DW with the purpose to support business intelligence, reporting, and data analytics needs. Models in the DW are expected to be designed and aligned to the business logic and processes.
Collaboration: Work closely with your colleagues to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
ETL/ELT Development: Design, build, and optimize efficient ETL/ELT processes using modern data tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, SQL and/or other on your choice).
Performance Tuning: Optimize DW performance and queries to ensure fast, reliable access.
Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation for the DW architecture, schema and ETL/ELT processes.
Reporting: to IT Manager.
Required Skills & Experience:
Relevant education and/or experience.
Databases Knowledge: Deep understanding of relational databases and data modeling techniques.
Programming: Proficiency in SQL is mandatory. Programming skills in Python for data manipulation development will be appteciated.
Data Warehouse Expertise: Experience in designing, building and optimizing data warehouses.
Familiarity with Data Governance, Metadata Management, and Data Catalog tools.
ETL/ELT Mastery: Strong practical experience with ETL/ELT tools and processes.
Ability to analyze complex data models and decipher the business logic embedded in existing databases.
Experience with Tableau or any other BI tools is mandatory.
Eagerness to learn new technologies and tools, to apply them practically. Adaptability and commitment to continuous learning.
