Software Architect

Position overview

The solution architect has a key role in the development of our CPaaS platform and MyLINK products. The candidate will contribute to overall target architecture of new capabilities and features, development of our principles and guidelines as well as governing the implementation of the architecture.

The candidate will be a part of the group architecture team, interact with product managers and product owners, peer with technology team leads, actively collaborate with development teams, supporting and consulting them, bringing knowledge and helping on technical everyday decisions.

 YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

Architecture for new and changed capabilities

• Drive architecture that fulfills goals, requirements, NFRs, cost and long-term viability for the solution landscape
• Design new solution capabilities, interacting with the relevant stakeholders, understand the goals and requirements, producing timely solution architecture and guide the implementation
• Drive and communicate architecture decisions
• Support tech leads in software architecture development
• Support management and product owners with implementation

Long term architecture

• Contribution to architectural strategy, technology roadmaps and long-term viability of our services and communicate how it supports the company goals and product roadmap
• Do research, prototyping and keep an eye on tech trends that may support our innovation
• Contribute to our architecture principles, standards, guidelines, best practices and assure compliance
• Identify and drive technical excellence items

Method, mentoring and skills development

• Contribute to improvements of our software development lifecycle
• Mentor our tech leads in development of software architecture and technical leadership
• Contribution to competence and skills development

WE HOPE YOU HAVE:

• University education in computer science, software engineering or similar
• 7+ years of previous experience as System Architect or Software Architect
• Deep knowledge of practices and patterns related to high volume, distributed architecture
• Good knowledge and experience with Azure ecosystem or other cloud vendor
• Demonstrated architecture thinking and capability to deliver holistic architectures
• Experience from different architecture styles, programming languages, and solution areas like event driven architecture, OOP, OAuth/OpenID
• Experience from architecture methods or frameworks like UML, C4 or Togaf
• Excellent documentation and communication skills to produce and communicate architecture and solution design
• Fluency in English both verbal and written

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience from development or infrastructure platform development
• Experience with various database technologies
• Experience with Kubernetes, Kafka and specific Azure services
• Previous knowledge of agile methods or project management experience
• Knowledge of our industry
